What we keep when you visit or book a sunbed, why and for how long, and what you can ask of us. Lekythos is a fictional business, made as a demo: its details below are sample details and the booking form sends nothing. The text, though, describes how this site really works.

Who is responsible

Lekythos Estiasi I.K.E., VAT EL000000000, tax office Polygyros, Destenika beach, 630 72 Toroni, Halkidiki, Greece. Email info@lekythos.example, phone +30 23750 00000. Sample details: they belong to no one, and nothing reaches that email address.

What we keep and why

Booking a sunbed. The form asks for a date, a spot, your name and your mobile number, so we can hold the sunbed and call you if something changes. Legal basis: steps you ask for before an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). We keep them until the end of the day you booked, then delete them. In this demo the form sends nothing: what you type never leaves your browser.

Phone and email. If you write or call, we keep what you tell us for as long as it takes to answer and to hold the booking or the event, and no longer than a year (Article 6(1)(b)).

Visiting the site. Like any web server, the one that serves these pages sees your IP address, browser, the page and the time, to send it to you and to protect it from attacks. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running the site safely (Article 6(1)(f)). Cloudflare, which hosts the site, also asks your browser to report connections that fail (Network Error Logging), so it can find network problems. We keep no visit logs ourselves and use no analytics.

Who else sees it

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages by Cloudflare, Inc. (USA), which processes visit data on our behalf and keeps it for a limited time under its own terms. As Cloudflare is a US company, data may leave the European Union; the transfer rests on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and on the Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

We give or sell data to no one else and send you no marketing.

Cookies and third parties

The site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser (no localStorage either), which is why it asks for no consent. Fonts are served from our own server and nothing is loaded from third parties: no maps, no video, no social buttons. The sunset time is worked out on your own device. Links to Google Maps (Directions), Wikimedia Commons and Pexels open their own pages only when you follow them; their terms apply there.

Your rights

You can ask to see your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its use, to receive it in a machine-readable form, or to object to its processing (GDPR Articles 15 to 21). We make no automated decisions about you (Article 22). Write to info@lekythos.example; we answer within a month.

If you think we have not respected your data, you can complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority, Kifisias 1-3, 115 23 Athens, www.dpa.gr.

Bookings are made by adults. We do not knowingly ask for data about children under 15.
